Today, Spotify published the third podcast in the Duchess of Sussex’s ‘Archetypes’ series, in which she spoke with The Office actress Mindy Kaling on the’stigma’ of being a single woman.
As with last week’s edition featuring Mariah Carey, the new podcast was scheduled to be broadcast on the streaming site at 12.30 p.m. today, but was released two hours early at 10.30 a.m. due to the couple’s departure for Germany.
The synopsis for ‘The Stigma of the Singleton with Mindy Kaling’ stated: ‘Meghan chats honestly with Mindy Kaling, who opens up in an unprecedented conversation about the joys, difficulties, and stigmas of her existence as a single, unmarried woman, as well as her decision to start a family on her own.

This episode also features Rebecca Traister, a writer for New York Magazine, who unpacks the myriad tropes that have accompanied lone women for years.
For an assignment in her religious education class at Immaculate Heart High School in Los Angeles, Meghan described how she planned her wedding when she was 14 years old, stating that she wanted it to be held at Hotel Bel-Air with a swan lake.
She stated in the podcast that she wanted a cake from Hansen’s Cakes Bakery and a dress from a bridal magazine that she chose since she ‘took this endeavor seriously’ and received an A or A-minus grade.
However, Meghan, age 41, remarked, ‘But my grade on the paper is neither here nor there, since what strikes me from my 40-something perspective is that this project was graded at all.
Could you assert that this project never existed in the first place? The message, even at my feminist all-girls school, was as conservative as it gets: My future goal is to be single. After falling in love comes marriage.
The podcast was released as the Duke and Duchess are scheduled to appear in Germany for an Invictus Games event later this afternoon, following Meghan’s first public statement in the United Kingdom since relinquishing her royal position.

In the previous two weeks, Spotify has already released two episodes of the podcast, which feature interviews with tennis veteran Serena Williams and singer Mariah Carey.
In the podcast with Williams, the Duchess made a veiled dig at life in the Royal Family by describing her terror when a minor ‘fire’ broke out in her son Archie’s bed during a trip of South Africa.
She claimed she was obliged to continue with the couple’s formal obligations, accusing the tour organizers of focusing on ‘how it looks, rather than how it feels’
Meghan said she was treated ‘like a black lady’ for the first time when she began dating Prince Harry.
She stated that she was previously regarded ‘like a mixed lady’ and that ‘things really changed’ after she began dating Harry.

Today, Harry and Meghan are expected to meet with officials and possible competitors in Dusseldorf to celebrate the beginning of the one-year countdown to the 2023 games.
The duke launched The Invictus Games to aid in the rehabilitation of wounded, ill, and injured service members and veterans from around the world by providing them with the opportunity to compete in sporting events akin to the Paralympics.
In September 2023, more than 500 athletes from 21 countries will compete in ten different sports at the Dusseldorf games.
During this year’s games, which took place in April in The Hague, a camera team filming for the Netflix documentary Heart Of Invictus – a series from Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions that follows the competitors – was spotted close to the couple.
Harry and Meghan made their first public appearance in the United Kingdom since returning for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Yesterday, Meghan delivered the keynote talk at the One Young World event in Manchester.
