Sylvester Stallone apparently desired to conceal his Jennifer Flavin tattoo well before she filed for divorce.
The Hollywood icon, 76, ultimately opted for a tattoo of his beloved late pet dog, Butkus, but his tattooist Mike DeVries revealed that the “Rocky” actor inquired whether the body art he received in 2007 could be transformed into the superheroine Wonder Woman in 2021.
That was impossible, so he had the tattoo transformed into a poignant memorial to the dog from “Rocky” last month.
DeVries stated to the public: “I was aware that he wanted to do anything because he wrote and called me last year to explore turning Jennifer Flavin into a film (Wonder Woman).
“Her hair would simply shine through.”
Recently, the “Rambo” actor, who has daughters Scarlet, 20, Sistine, 24, and Sophia, 26, with his separated wife, argued that their divorce was not the result of “trivial” disagreements over their family dog, Dwight.
He said: “We did not end the relationship over such an insignificant dispute. We simply went in separate directions. Jennifer is held in the highest regard.
“I shall forever cherish her. She is a remarkable woman. She is the kindest person I’ve ever met.”
The couple’s 25-year marriage ended on August 19 when Flavin filed for divorce. A subsequent article indicated that the couple separated due to disagreements about the maintenance of their Rottweiler.
In addition to his three children with Flavin, Stallone is also the father of Seargeoh, who he had with Sasha Czack. Sage, the eldest son of the former spouse, passed away in 2012 at the age of 36.
