Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, identified herself as the “ugly duckling” in the third episode of her podcast Archetypes, which was released on Spotify on September 6.

The third edition of Meghan Markle’s podcast Archetypes premiered on Tuesday, September 6, with Mindy Kaling as the featured guest. The third episode with Mindy Kaling was titled The Stigma of the Singleton, and the duchess described herself as the “ugly duckling.”
“Perhaps not conventional beauty as such… Now perhaps that would be considered attractive, like my gigantic, frizzy, curly hair and my enormous tooth gap. “Forever and ever and ever and ever and ever I was brilliant, and then I just sort of grew up,” she added.
Mindy expressed astonishment upon discovering that the duchess was not the “hot chick.”
Mindy said, “Now I want to say that this is a revelation to me because I’ve lived my entire life thinking that Meghan Markle was that one nice, hot girl who has her head on straight because her mother is probably really cool, but knowing that you were not that is news to me, and probably news to everyone listening to this.”

At age 14, the duchess planned her wedding.
Meghan continued by stating that she never had a lunch companion. Therefore, she became president of many clubs so she would be occupied and not have to worry about being lonely.
“I never had somebody to eat lunch with. I was always a bit of a loner, quite shy, and unsure of where I belonged. Thus I simply became. I thought to myself, “Okay, I’ll be the president of the multicultural club, the president of the sophomore class, and the president of this and the French club.” And because I was usually so busy, I had meetings around lunch, so I never had to think about who I would sit with or what I would do,” she said.
Meghan also stated that she began wedding preparations at the age of 14.
She stated that it was a Catholic school assignment in religious studies. The duchess also revealed her desire for her wedding to take place at the Bel Air hotel, with a Swan Lake performance.
“At the age of 14, I planned my wedding. Not my actual wedding, which would have been more difficult to envision,” she stated.
She continued by stating that as a teen, you could not express a desire to be single.
“At no moment can you say ‘Nope. My future goal is to remain unmarried. Even in my feminist all-girls school, the message was as conservative as it gets. Love comes first. Then comes the wedding,” she continued.
