France-UK migrant gets disappointed realizing truck heads to Germany

When a daring immigrant realized the truck he’d hidden in was really going to Germany, his alleged effort to enter Britain failed.

The migrant, who was able to get aboard the HGV, according to HGV driver Pete White, was forced to jump out and trek 40 kilometers back to Calais.

He seemed to be upset with me for what I had done to him, which I found to be pretty ironic. I was simply finishing off my work,” he remarked.

Last Thursday, while traveling to Munich to pick up goods, Pete heard hammering on the side of his taxi.

The 42-year-old claims he was taken aback when he realized it was a migrant who, in his opinion, was attempting to reach the UK but quickly realized he was going in the other direction, toward continental Europe.

Video captured in a wing mirror shows the lost guy slapping the side of the truck as it careens down a highway.

In a second video, Pete can be heard sternly ordering the guy to jump or else before he jumps from his vehicle onto a grassy shoulder of the A26 in Aire de Rely, France.

Dad-of-three Pete claims he has no pity for the individual who caused £200 worth of damage to his car and whom he thinks to be a “economic migrant” rather than a refugee.

After crossing the ferry from Dover, Pete attempted to top up his gasoline at a service station in Calais, and he thinks that’s when the guy sliced through the side of his van to get in.

The whole thing flopped, which made Pete from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, grin later.

He said, “I knew the man had to get off because that’s the best thing for everyone.

Some drivers would have exited their vehicles and engaged in a brawl, but I have a family at home.

I just slowed down because I didn’t want to quit. I encouraged him to leap despite his request for me to stop.

Once he exited, I realized I had been on the road for around 50 minutes, and Calais is 60 kilometers away.

I first believed he was hiding behind the truck, but then I saw I was towing a curtain-side trailer, and it’s possible he cut through the roof.

“I simply snapped at that point because I knew I had to call my employer to inform him that his equipment had been harmed.”

It was a major surprise. Even though I’ve spent 20 years teaching drivers how to avoid certain circumstances, even someone as knowledgeable and skilled as I am was able to pass me.

Pete is shocked by the man’s apparent ability to escape the trailer, climb to the roof, and reach the side of the van while traveling at 55 mph on a French highway.

According to him, he kept going slowly to check for any remaining migrants in the car before stopping to look for any damage.

The startled driver speculates that the guy must have entered the van during a 30-second interval between his inspecting it and leaving the gas station, which was out of fuel.

He maintains that despite often seeing immigrants attempting to board UK trucks, he has filled up there hundreds of times previously without encountering any issues.

Pete said: “Economic migrants who are young guys should not be making their way to the UK in the manner they are. Refugee families need to be aided and accepted.

“I have witnessed hundreds of pounds worth of repairs.” For damage to products and trailers, we’ve received insurance claims for up to £100,000 in total. I don’t feel anything for these folks.

“I might have responded differently and been compassionate if there had been a lady and a kid in there, but I have no sympathy for young guys who do harm in a field that is already difficult.

There was a French police vehicle there, but at least six of them were scrolling on their phones in a minibus. They are no longer concerned. They are just as irritated as truck drivers are.

Pete, a freelance driver, claims that after bringing the truck back to the UK, he had to spend around £200 on repairs.
