SAPS to ensure King Misuzulu certificate handover is peaceful

President Cyril Ramaphosa will present AmaZulu King Misuzulu KaZwelithini with a certificate of recognition during a ceremony that will be attended by police personnel, according to Police Minister Bheki Cele. These officers will ensure that the ceremony proceeds peacefully.
The Minister stated this during a safety check of Moses Mabhida Stadium, the location of Saturday’s event.
During a march, while addressing the officers, Cele asked them to make the most of the historic occasion with the theme “liphumile iLanga kwaZulu”
Tomorrow, the President, His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa, will present the certificate to the King of the Zulus in front of the nation, the province, and the world. He will announce, “Behold, your King!” “It is your responsibility to ensure that everything goes smoothly, as stated by [SAPS management].”
The presentation of the certificate of recognition follows the August coronation of the King by the Zulu Royal House. Following the death of his father, King Goodwill Zwelithini, in March 2021, he ascended to the throne.
“You must uphold and enforce the law… From yesterday to today to tomorrow and beyond, it is your responsibility to uphold the law. If someone gets in the way, you must place that person back in line so that tomorrow’s event is treated with the respect it deserves.”
The Minister stated that police would be deployed to a variety of critical routes and sites, including roadways, hotels, and other public gathering spots.
“Remember that you are government’s face as representatives. We are the event’s public face. When you observe anything, you must act decisively. However, comply with all laws. “Be decisive and resolute,” he said.
