According to Swedish investigators, the Nord Stream pipe explosion was sabotage

A Swedish prosecutor announced on Friday that investigators uncovered indications of explosives at the location of the damaged Nord Stream pipes, confirming that sabotage had occurred.

Swedish and Danish officials are investigating four holes in the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, which connect Germany and Russia via the Baltic Sea and have become a flashpoint in the Ukraine conflict.

A preliminary examination conducted by Denmark revealed last month that the leaks were triggered by massive explosions.

The Swedish Prosecution Authority said in a statement, “Analysis that has now been conducted indicates signs of explosives on some of the retrieved articles.”

“The investigation is quite sophisticated and exhaustive. The ongoing investigation will decide if any suspects can be identified, according to the statement.
