Surveillance film reveals that a Florida guy, enraged about his lost vehicle keys, held a pistol to a woman’s head and opened fire inside a pub before being detained by several quick-thinking, courageous guests.
The incident occurred Sunday night at Smiles Nite Club in Palm Coast, but according to authorities, no fatalities or significant injuries were recorded.
“It is astonishing that this scumbag did not murder or gravely damage anyone during his fit of anger over his vehicle keys. “Violence is never the solution, and alcohol and firearms should not mix,” stated Sheriff Rick Staley.
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office stated in a statement that witnesses informed deputies that the suspect, 30-year-old Connor Anderson, had been at the bar with a lady when he grew agitated because he couldn’t locate his vehicle key.
Sunday’s arrest in Palm Coast, Florida, of 30-year-old Connor Anderson is depicted by his mugshot.
Surveillance footage obtained by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office reveals that Smile Nite Club patrons detained Anderson after he fired at least six bullets from his Glock (circled in red) at them during a brawl.
Anderson, wearing a “NRA” T-shirt with an American flag, temporarily left the Palm Harbor Village Way watering place and returned with a gun.
The bar’s surveillance footage then shows the enraged man putting his date in a headlock and putting a pistol to her head.
Other guests of the pub react and fight to disarm Anderson as he fires his revolver at them repeatedly, sending debris flying.
According to the sheriff’s office, Anderson fired his firearm roughly six times before courageous bar goers tackled him to the ground.
The suspect then fled the area and rushed to a neighboring parking lot, where he was detained by officers responding to 911 calls reporting gunfire.
Anderson was arrested while still equipped with a 9mm Glock handgun and a pocketknife, according to the sheriff’s office.
Six charges of firing at or hurling lethal missiles, three counts of aggravated assault, battery, using a firearm while under the influence of alcoholic drinks, and inappropriate display of hazardous weapons or guns led to Anderson’s arrest.
As of Tuesday, he was still incarcerated after being put into the county prison on a $542,000 bail.
When Anderson was arrested in a parking lot, he was wearing a “NRA” T-shirt.

Sheriff Staly praised the citizens who intervened to stop Anderson.
“In this instance, putting yourself in danger saved many lives,” he stated.
