Neil Wesson, a Wetherspoon aficionado, has visited 736 of the company’s pubs, including one on his 50th wedding anniversary, and says he’s still thirsty for more, revealing his favorite ‘Spoons in the UK.

Mr. Wesson’s 736th visit to a Wetherspoons was to the pub chain’s newest out of almost 840 – a £2.4 million location in Birmingham New Street Station.
With a pub trip to Scotland already planned, the grandpa in retirement hopes to reach 750 by the end of the year.
When asked why he spent so much time at Wetherspoons, Mr. Wesson responded, “I have two children, four grandchildren, and I’ve visited 75 countries.” I’ve lived! And I’m still enjoying life twenty years after retiring!

“I resigned at 52 and am now 73.” I was a management supervisor at Land Rover’s logistics department, and whenever you passed 50, they liked to make you an offer to quit. After discussing it with my wife Pamela, I made the decision and haven’t looked back since.
‘I am a train aficionado who enjoys riding all of the different railroads in the country, and it appears that many Wetherspoon fans do the same. It’s all about expanding your collection, and I’ve always enjoyed collecting.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Pen Cob Wetherspoon in Pwllheli, Wales. Visiting all of these Wetherspoon pubs offers you something to do, and it’s also a good workout, as some of them may be more than a mile away from your train station.
There are so many of them, and many of them are housed in very magnificent structures, such as old cinemas, theaters, and cathedrals. We enjoy reading about the history of new locations, especially when it is incorporated on the menu.
The Wetherspoons fanatic also divulged his favorite among the over 700 pubs he has frequented.
He stated, “I attended the Solihull Assembly Rooms.” That is a magnificent structure, however they have moved out. Opera House, an ancient theater in Tunbridge Wells, is my favorite.
Recently, the pub enthusiast attended the grand launch of the newest Wetherspoon in Birmingham New Street Station.
You must purchase something in order to enter a pub, whether it’s a meal, a half-pint of beer, or a cup of coffee. Many people do this. I believe the most I’ve accomplished in a day is eight! I adore ham, egg, and chips for lunch and Weatherspoon curries for dinner – they all come with a pint.’
Mr. Wesson also stated that he met the well-known chairman of Wetherspoons, Tim Martin, during one of his many pub trips.
“I was on an organized tram trip to Blackpool and went to The Thomas Drummond in Fleetwood,” he explained.
“I believed I recognized the gentleman at the bar and asked, “Are you Tim Martin?” I informed him that I had visited hundreds of Wetherspoon pubs, at which point he offered to buy me a pint.
That was very thoughtful of him, but I didn’t have it.
I responded, ‘Thank you, but I’ve already had one… and I need to visit another Wetherspoon!’
