AC/DC rocker Brian Johnson reveals he has been writing songs in secret with Jimmy Nail… but says fans are unlikely to hear them.

Brian Johnson, the vocalist for the hard rock band AC/DC, has revealed a secret musical collaboration with Auf Wiedersehen Pet and 1990s singer Jimmy Nail.
The 75-year-old Back in Black performer claims that he and Jimmy – a favorite of housewives as the star of Spender – have been writing original songs together.
Brian, who, like Jimmy, is a Geordie, has admitted that he does not believe they will be released during their lifetimes.
However, he added that he believed an album of the songs might be released after his death.
In an interview with the music bible Rolling Stone, the singer, who replaced Bon Scott in the band after his tragic death in 1980, made the remarks.
He stated, “I’ve been writing songs with Jimmy Nail, who’s had a few of his own major hits.
In December 2008, Brian Johnson and Angus Young performed with AC/DC in Florida.
Now Brian has disclosed that he is collaborating with Jimmy Nail, best known for the 1990s hit Crocodile Shoes.

Furthermore, we do nothing with them. When we’re all dead, somebody will likely release these fantastic songs that we’ve written.
“However, I am quite proud of them. The song ‘What If’ is worth keeping an eye out for. It is so f****** hilarious.
The singer is currently promoting his childhood autobiography, The Lives of Brian.
His partnership with Nail may appear odd at first, but it may prove more fruitful than anticipated.
Jimmy Nail, second from the right, rose to fame on the popular television program Auf Wedersehen, Pet.
Spender reportedly earned him one of the highest-paid television actors of the 1990s.
The 68-year-old was a major hitmaker in the 1990s due to his television popularity.
Ain’t No Doubt and Crocodile Shoes were also popular successes for him.
And at one point, his show Spender reportedly made him the highest-paid television performer, with an annual salary of £1 million.
In 2001 he said: ‘I like singing. I was an actress by mistake.
“Music has always been my first and truest love. I merely needed to prove myself, and acting roles were a means to this end.
It was sheer luck that I became a successful actress.
The new book by Brian describes how, before he began removing roofs from arenas, he repaired roofs.
In his new autobiography, he describes his transformation from a vinyl car roof fitter in the northeast of England to the leader of one of the most acclaimed bands.
He recently stated over the phone from his Florida residence, “I don’t know what it is, I simply never, ever gave in.” I was always willing to give things a try, even when more pessimistic individuals would not have. I always believed the glass to be half-full.
Dey Street Books’ ‘The Lives of Brian Johnson’ chronicles his ups and downs growing up near Newcastle, culminating in his joining AC/DC and releasing their famous ‘Back in Black’ album.
The author stated of the book, “It wasn’t so much to validate my life.” It was to validate the lives of all the wonderful people who helped form my life, including school friends, factory friends, and music friends.
