  • Energy Pioneers Program: Applications Opening Soon!

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, January 26, 2022/APO Group/ — Since launching the Energy Pioneers Program (‘EPP’) in September 2021, we have received numerous sign ups from enthusiastic young individuals who have patiently awaited notification to hit send on their applications.

As we warm up to the year, the EPP will be officially accepting applications from 1 February 2022. All students and graduates are welcome to apply.

    To apply, applicants must submit:

    a motivational letter;

    curriculum vitae;

    latest academic transcripts;

a reference letter or information about references; and

    a copy of identification.

The EPP will be officially accepting applications from 1 February 2022

All documentation must be submitted in PDF format. As this is the first round of applications, here are a few tips to assist with the application process:

The main purpose of a motivational letter is for the applicant to describe their inspiration to participate in the internship program. Add a personal touch to this letter by elaborating on the skills, qualifications, achievements, attributes, and ideas that influence your desire to participate in the internship program. A good writer is able to get the point across without waffling- keep the motivational letter to approximately one page in standard font, font size and line spacing.

A good curriculum vitae showcases the applicant’s credentials, accolades and work experience. Ensure that your resumé is easy to read and simply structured to enable the recruiter to navigate through the contents of your profile. A tailored curriculum vitae is preferred as it indicates interest in the position applied for as opposed to a standardized curriculum vitae. Once again, do not be too wordy and keep it to no more than two pages long.

A reference letter can be academic, professional or personal. An academic reference letter refers to the applicant’s academic performance and aims to highlight these credentials. Similarly, a professional reference letter refers to past work experience and aims to emphasize the applicant’s strengths and abilities in the workplace. In contrast, a personal reference letter refers to the applicant’s character and aims to showcase the applicant’s personal attributes.

At a glance, these pointers are only a few of the helpful tips that shortlisted candidates can expect to receive in the Internship Preparation Manual as part of the African Energy Chamber’s mentorship towards interns. In addition, interns can expect to gain professional experience, leadership development, intensive training and networking.

The Energy Pioneers Program seeks to find intelligent, determined, and curious young individuals. The submitted application is the first impression that the recruitment team receives. We encourage applicants to display outmost professionalism in these applications. We cannot wait to receive your applications and look forward to starting your energy pioneers journey.

    Betting options

    BTTS

Both teams to score – this is not the best bet to blindly place on an Africa Cup of Nations game. Over the years, the tournaments have been low-scoring, particularly in the group stages.

In a competition without much preparation, defensive organisation might not be what it has been in the past. There are more talents on show at AFCON now than every before, so this year we may start seeing higher-scoring games.

    Over/Under Goals

If you expect the tournament to remain low-scoring, then the Under bets are for you, where you can place wagers on matches to include under a certain amount of goals. Too much value is not placed on the tradition Under 2.5 bets because generally, everyone expects the leagues to be low scoring, so you may switch it up to Under 1.5 for the defensive fixtures.

Or if you are backing more goals, there will be definitely be some long-odds Overs shots and with games being played every day in the opening weeks of the tournament there is hope for some long-odds accumulators here as well.

    To Qualify

You can have an accumulator on which teams you expect to qualify from the group, but in the latter stages you can also bet on a team to qualify from a draw rather than a win in 90 minutes.

This gives you more security as your bet will continue to ride into extra-time and even penalties with less pressure on the result within the normal ninety minutes.

    To Win

This is for who will win the tournament or win the game. Early favourites to pick up the trophy and win the tournament outright include the likes of Senegal, Egypt and current reigning champions Tunisia, who are all in good shape to lift the trophy this time around.

You can also also back these and all other teams to win their individual matches and as above with the Under/Over goals bets, you can combine a few different games on markets like the Win, Draw, Over, Under to create a multiple bet and increase the potential returns.

    To Reach the Final

Like the ‘To Qualify’ market, to reach final offers you the opportunity to place a slightly more secure bet than a 90 minute result bet, the ‘to reach the final’ market simply means you can bet on a team to get to the final two stage, whoever wins does not affect your placement.

As the AFCON matches continue, it is safe to make your own projections and conclusion using the results from previous matches played to make your bets, but remember that when the betting is no longer fun, you should stop.

  • 7 Tips To Make Savings On Energy Bills

Save hundreds of pounds on your energy bill by reducing household energy consumption. You can reduce household energy consumption by making simple proactive adjustments to your energy consumption habits or extensive home improvements. The main goals for every consumer should be to conserve energy to lower bills and protect the environment. The following are the easiest and most intensive ways to save on energy bills.

    What Is Energy Conservation?

At its essence, energy conservation is a way to utilize less energy to achieve lower costs and minimize the environmental impact. One of the simplest ways to do that is by using less electricity, gas, or any other utility you pay for periodically. There are finite resources on your planet, and proactively saving as far as possible is helpful on the individual level and for larger energy organizations.

    1. Make Proactive Adjustments To Your Energy Consumption

You can reduce energy consumption by purchasing energy-efficient products because there is no denying the energy savings with energy-efficient products. But simple proactive adjustments you can make to consumption behaviour to reduce energy consumption. For example, you can switch off the lights or unplug appliances as you leave a room. Most people do not switch off the lights even when no one is home.

Another way to save energy is by not frequently using energy-intensive appliances. For example, you have a clothes dryer, and you also have space to hang-dry clothes. Consider hang-drying clothes more often and use the clothes dryer for urgent scenarios. Similarly, you can wash dishes by hand instead of putting them in the dishwasher.

    2. Adjust The Thermostat For Heating Or Cooling

The heating system in the winter and the cooling system in the summer have the highest potential for energy savings. For most households, heating and cooling costs account for almost half of the energy consumption. In other words, you can make the biggest dent in your energy bill by making a simple adjustment to your thermostat. Just a single degree colder in winter can translate into significant savings, in the same way just a few degrees warmer in summer can lower energy consumption.

Since heating and cooling constitute a principal portion of household energy consumption. A recommendation is to switch off the heating or cooling system when no one is home.

    3. Replace Light Bulbs

Conventional incandescent light bulbs expend an exorbitant amount of electricity and need to be replaced frequently. Energy-efficient alternatives such as compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), halogen incandescent bulbs, and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have a higher luminescence and consume 25% to 80% less electricity. All of these lights last anywhere from three to 25 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Consumers will make fewer electrical repairs around the house since these alternatives use less energy.

The only downside is that the energy-efficient alternatives cost more than traditional incandescent light bulbs. It still makes sense to purchase them if you consider the lifespan of the energy-efficient alternatives.

    4. Use Smart Extension Cords

“Phantom loads,” or the energy consumption of appliances that are switched off but plugged in is a huge waste of energy. According to research, appliances use 75% of the energy when they are plugged in and on standby. Laptop or mobile chargers, electronic appliances, sound systems, entertainment systems, and kitchen appliances that are always plugged in but switched off still consume energy.

A smart extension cord has individual power switches for each connection as well as a main switch. You can use the smart extension cord to plug in similar appliances like several different chargers. Once your device is fully charged, you can switch off the energy supply for that charger. Alternatively, you can unplug the smart extension cord to ensure that all of the appliances do not consume electricity.

    5. Install A Programmable Or Smart Thermostat

A smart thermostat can be programmed to switch on or off at specific times during the day. For example, you can program the smart thermostat to switch off when no one is home. You can also program the smart thermostat to function efficiently during the night time when you sleep. Upgrading to a smart thermostat means that you can eliminate wasteful energy without upgrading the HVAC system.

You can potentially save hundreds of pounds annually just by installing a smart thermostat. Different models allow you to set daily or weekly schedules and the prices can vary. Some programmable thermostats also indicate when you need to replace air filters and perform other maintenance tasks on your HVAC system. Investing in a smart or programmable thermostat is worthwhile if you do not intend to upgrade your HVAC system any time soon.

    6. Mitigate Water Heating Expenses

Hot water is a major increment to your total energy consumption. One way to lower the cost of hot water consumption is to purchase an energy-efficient water heater. Another solution is to use less hot water or lower the water heater thermostat. Both of these solutions may not always be practical in all situations.

Consider insulating your water heater and the first ten feet of hot and cold water pipes leading to and from the water heater. Think of the type of fuel the water heater uses if you are thinking about upgrading to an energy-efficient version. Also, take into consideration your hot water consumption when purchasing an energy-efficient water heater. A tankless water heater can be extremely energy efficient, but it will not be able to supply multiple simultaneous hot water connections if you have a high hot water consumption.

Energy-efficient water heaters can be anywhere from 8% to 300% more energy efficient in comparison to traditional water heaters.

    7. Switch Energy Suppliers

You can search for the best energy suppliers on Utility Bidder because the last few months saw an increase in energy prices. You might be fresh out of luck looking for cheaper rates if you switched energy suppliers more than a few months ago. Consumers with energy suppliers that have recently closed need to shift to a new supplier because the out-of-contract rates will increase on 1st April 2022.

Out-of-contract rates were some of the worst rates at some point in time. But now they are probably some of the cheapest rates you can get. Make sure you choose a new provider and get on their cheapest plan before April 1st if you are paying out-of-contract rates.

  • Engage, Advocate, Inspire and Empower – Using Photography as a Driver of Sustainability (By Aida Muluneh)

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, January 18, 2022/ — By Aida Muluneh

Let’s answer the million-dollar question – Why is photography important?

Because it speaks, it communicates, it educates and it cultivates change. I am often asked this question and my answer remains the same always. Photography is not just a tool for artistic expression or documentation, it is a lot more than that. Photography has the power to raise awareness, to change the narrative thus inspiring people to take action, for instance my work around ‘Water Life’ from 2018 addressed the plight of water access and its impact not only on the society but also on women in rural regions, especially so in Ethiopia but also across Africa. In reality, it is a tool to spread education not only inside our own regions and countries but also beyond our borders to be able to draw attention, start a conversation and bring people together.

So for me, photography does not really fit in any one description box, but rather it molds into something that you want to project out to the world. Similar to the art of Cinema, photography can be used to entertain, educate, ask questions, and throw light on our history or all of the above. It is really what you make out of it and that’s why it is vital for our society, educational institutions and governments today to encourage and empower photographers and to truly appreciate the art of photography.

Power of the Image – Forming Perceptions, Driving Change

As the founder and director of the Addis Foto Fest (AFF), the first international photography festival in East Africa hosted since 2010 in the city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, I can vouch for the fact that photography has the potential to become a force that drives change. Of course, great power comes with a great responsibility and that is exactly what budding photographers today need to be made aware of. Competitions such as ‘Moments that Matter’ reflect light on the pressing issues that we as a species and as a planet are facing together and these grave issues need to be conveyed to as many people as possible without making them despondent. That’s where the theme of sustainability fits in so well to showcase this ever-going cycle of today and tomorrow and its direct co-relation with each other. Everything that we do today shapes our future for tomorrow, this is the encapsulating theme that photographers need to bear in mind whilst sending their submissions.

We live in this day and age of rapid consumption and according to Statista’s 2021 report (https://bit.ly/34Q4d4o) on ‘Mobile Usage’, there are currently 6.4 billion smartphone users worldwide. As unbelievable as this figure is, one can only imagine the number of images consumed by each of these people, and images have the inherent ability to form perceptions and perspectives. Hence, it is even more vital today to use this technology of smartphones and social media to direct messages of progress towards people to drive that sentiment that leads them to take action and make meaningful changes. Canon’s initiative on empowering photographers to capture moments in the sustainability spectrum through categories that speak about economic, human, environmental and social progress is truly the pressing priority for all of us.

However, the beauty of the competition lies in the spirit of sustainability that rekindles the flame of hope in our hearts and gives us a reason to look forward to the future. It is this challenge that participating photographers need to understand and convey in their images, to show us the problem but also to shed light on its solutions. As a practicing advocate of change through photography, I am extremely keen to see the submissions that come through allowing us to look at the world through someone else’s eye, to experience their vision and see what change others are aspiring to create not only in their own country but for the whole wide world.

Take for instance, my very own continent of Africa where more often than not, portrayal of poverty or other issues is depicted through photography which often lacks the balanced perspective in which also it is an indigenous view and not only through the foreign gaze or visual arts. But today, this narrative is changing as we see a new generation of photographers who overcome great challenges to be the visual story tellers of a changing Africa in which they offer a new perspective that offers our humanity and humility. This is the power of an image and through this medium to show the world the enormous amount of talent, culture, capabilities as well as the scope for a better future and this other side of Africa that is often hidden or lost in pictures.

Photography as a Means of Advocacy – Help to Heal

In a world as diverse and complex as ours, there are various issues that need to be brought to the surface to evoke a conversation leading us to solutions. This responsibility needs to be collectively shared not just by creative industries but all industries out there, even those that are impacting the narrative of our communities, nations and continents. Even in the global discourse as it relates to our environment and planet, the power of the image and our connections through technologies offer us many opportunities for change. One person may be able to plant a tree but together we can plant an entire forest and that is the power of helping and empowerment…in helping others we also help and heal ourselves.

This is the main reason why my work outside of being in museums or fine art has been a reflection of advocacy…. advocating the need to make a change. As globalization has taken center-stage in the last few decades, we must realize this responsibility that we all now share – to really empower each other as people and then to empower our planet to prosper. Finding solutions together is key to unlocking the potential for tomorrow. Photography is an excellent instrument to advocate the cause that you believe in, for me personally I have been passionate about environmental issues which is depicted through my images. Photographers participating in ‘Moments that Matter’ must look at engaging their art-forms to advocate and inspire others thus leveraging their visual language to become the hope for tomorrow.

No Pain, No Gain – Pursue your Passion to Find Greatness

Creativity is the birth of innovation and as daunting as it may seem to showcase a new angle or perspective through your images…that is where the true challenge of this visual art-form lies. Authenticity is the key that unlocks the great power of photography. Photographers that understand this as the basic foundation of their work usually go a long way in their professional paths. In the beginning however, it may seem like an impossible feat to achieve but it is the part of our journey that we need to embrace in order to become visible in this competitive and challenging creative world.

In the past, I have been through phases of disappointment as a young photographer when I struggled to prove my point to people but perseverance, patience and practice can take you anywhere as I have learned from my journey. I was inspired by photographer, Chester Higgins who taught me the tricks of the trade – to never stop believing in yourself, your work and to always remain authentic. That advice has led me to become who I am today. I stuck to black and white photography as my core niche even though the world was booming with innovations in colored photography. It is crucial to reflect your own individual point of view in your work without getting overwhelmed by trends or fads. That remains my advice for all budding photographers who dream to make their mark in the world…be authentic, remain consistent and believe in yourself!

  • MultiChoice expands hyperlocal territory

JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, January 17, 2022/ — Pan-African entertainment company MultiChoice has further expanded its hyperlocal offering with the launch of two new TV channels – Maningue Magic and Kwenda Magic – for audiences in Mozambique and Angola respectively.

The group’s long-established hyperlocal strategy is a multi-pronged, hybrid approach combining local content acquisition, local production, and the development of local content through international production partnerships.

The new Portuguese-language channels will show dramas, telenovelas, local versions of hit reality shows, hilarious comedies, dubbed international content and homegrown music on DStv and GOtv platforms when the channels go live on Monday, 17 January.

“These channel launches are an exciting milestone for MultiChoice, and our hyperlocal strategy,” says Joao Ribeiro, Channel Head for both Kwenda Magic and Maningue Magic. “MultiChoice’s mission is to showcase Africa’s diverse, rich culture through our continent’s deep storytelling history. To have two new 24-hour channels in local languages, featuring locally produced content, provides an incredibly powerful platform to do this.”

Over the past 18 months, MultiChoice has grown its local content offering through several channel launches including Pearl Magic Prime, Akwaaba Magic and Abol TV in Uganda, Ghana, and Ethiopia, as well as hit international co-productions like Reyka and ongoing local productions like the ever-popular Big Brother Naija.

Local content remains a core part of the group’s differentiation strategy. The group produced an additional 2 692 hours of local content in 2021 (41% YoY growth). The combined MultiChoice local content library is now approaching 66 000 hours and represents 45% of total general entertainment content spend.

Despite this proportion being in line with local-content targets, the group plans to increase local-content investment even further. Ribeiro says the new channels are already proving a significant boost to the production industries in both countries.

“Until now, independent producers had few outlets for their work and had to act on many levels, struggling to get budgets, and to have their content shown,” says Ribeiro. “With our channels requiring content 24 hours a day, we can now invite local producers to pitch ideas, to commission and develop projects, and to pay fair, market-related rates for work.”

“By investing in the industry, we are creating opportunities for local talent, telling local stories, and adding to the stability of the industry. We are committed to growing the industry in countries where we operate, and to deliver content that resonates with our viewers,” says Ribeiro.

Ribeiro says that in the months MultiChoice has spent setting up the channel, broadcast professionals in both countries have been exposed to many new opportunities. Content workers now have more options and are less likely to leave the sector due to a shortage of work.

“We are commissioning work from established producers as well as smaller companies across the continent while also creating opportunities for alumni of the MultiChoice Talent Factory,” says Ribeiro.

Speaking on the ongoing hyperlocalisation and production of content across Africa, MultiChoice Africa CEO Fhulufhelo Badugela says, “When we develop local channels or produce local content, we aim to create a platform that reflects local culture, so audiences see themselves represented in the content they watch.

“Localisation goes beyond simply duplicating popular formats in a different language or with a different cast,” says Badugela. “It’s about incorporating a country’s social, gender and religious conventions, as well pop-culture trends like music, influencers and celebrities into stories. This is what makes our hyperlocal strategy unique and exciting.”

Highlights of the offerings on Maningue Magic include the telenovela Maida, about a naïve teenager who leaves the countryside for the big city; proudly Mozambican music show Estação do BossDate My Family Moçambique, a local version of the hit reality dating show. The Influencer, an Mozambican original series will tell the story of a girl pursuing a dream to be an Digital Influencer who end on a network of drugs and prostitution. Top+, will showcase famous’s artists and personalities from Mozambique and Africa who are attracting attention on social networks. Txunado, a magazine show about Mozambican fashion, arts and lifestyle.

On Kwenda Magic, flagship shows include O Rio, an Angolan adaptation of popular 1Magic telenovela The RiverMakongo, a new drama about a young man’s life in Luanda; and Salão de Beleza, a sitcom about a Luanda establishment and its diverse, dramatic customers.

  • DHL Global Forwarding goes wild!

DHL Global Forwarding has continued its commitment to supporting wildlife by assisting a conservation organization with the rescue five lions and one tiger from captivity. On behalf of Warriors of Wildlife, the wild cats, all born in Ukraine, were relocated safely to South Africa. Following this transport, the non-profit organization has rescued a total of 28 wild cats and other animals from Ukraine. In the past, DHL Global Forwarding has also helped relocate several brown bears, pandas, and most recently, “the world’s loneliest elephant,” Kaavan.

“To make the journey as pleasant as possible for our special guests, profound expertise and a well-coordinated team are key. Our ‘Lions and Falcons of DHL’, as I like to call our staff, brought the animals safely back to their wild home base. In the sanctuary of Warriors of Wildlife, they are finally back where they belong – two of them have South African parents. The lions Hercules, Cher, Khaya, Ilana, another male lion that was named Arslan by our Turkish Airfreight team, as well as the tiger Kisa, travelled with us for 72 hours. Not an easy job, but one we accepted wholeheartedly,” says Amadou Diallo, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding MEA.

The wild cats were kept in a private zoo in Chernivtsi and a zoo in Nikolaev in the south of Ukraine. DHL brought them to a sanctuary run by the head of the wildlife organization Lionel de Lange. The Simbonga Game Farm & Sanctuary is located near Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Eastern Cape, South Africa. Throughout the whole journey the animals were monitored by veterinarian specialists. In Ukraine, the DHL team had the support of a Ukrainian vet until departure. Together with the director of Warriors for Wildlife and another veterinarian they boarded then their flight from Boryspil International Airport to O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. The last leg of their journey the cats travelled via road before they were finally welcomed to their new home.

“Transporting wild cats is always a great challenge and requires the trust and cooperation of all parties involved. With DHL as an experienced animal logistics partner, we were able to manage this complex coordination effort with ease and bring the animals safely back to their home. Now, the lions and the tigress are in the very best environment with the proper care they need,” says Lionel de Lange, Director Warriors of Wildlife and Simbonga Game Farm & Sanctuary.

  • 3 Mistakes Small Businesses Make with IT

Today we’ll talk about how a lack of awareness, lack of experience in IT can affect the development of small businesses.

Elementary ignorance of the sphere, the desire to get everything and as quickly as possible can lead to a number of problems that will not only damage the business, but also will not budge it.

    Business IT
    Business IT

Most small business IT infrastructures have one major drawback – they are not scalable. It is not at all meant by the presence of a large number of computer systems or something like that. The problem is that the architecture initially laid down creates disproportionately more problems and costs with the growth of the business than it brings benefits, but it should be the other way around.

For a young business, the planning horizon is usually limited to a year, sometimes even a couple of months, and building an IT infrastructure is far from the most serious problem. If there is a quick and cheap solution, albeit with side effects in the future, the business will choose it sooner, more expensive for a week, but correct from the point of view of future prospects, which will have to wait. And there is nothing wrong with that, this is a familiar situation, but it’s only bad when this kind of practice continues after the business has matured and is confidently moving forward. Agree that this is strange: there is money for development, but there is no development itself.

Here are the main mistakes that entrepreneurs face when working with technical tools in their business:

1 The wrong approach to using technology

In a small business, equipment is usually bought and changed as needed and possible, and this is done in exactly the quantities and qualities in which it is needed right here and now. The models of computer equipment that are on the market change, as we know, sometimes several times a year, being replaced by newer or cheaper ones. In such conditions, in small companies, the emergence of a wide variety of computer equipment is inevitable, when it is impossible to find two identical servers or even two identical computers on the network. We are not talking about the lack of aesthetic part of all this, so this is not a particular problem, as long as the emerging maintenance tasks are purely “one-off” in nature.

As the business grows, different equipment models, in addition to a linear increase in maintenance tasks, create additional difficulties in planning and implementing changes, building reserves and even modernizing a computer park, requiring accurate accounting and analysis of each element. All this can significantly increase costs and negatively affect the quality of the work performed. It can take years for the equipment used to standardize before the equipment purchased earlier reaches its useful life.

In order not to once face a choice: to throw out old equipment or overpay for its maintenance, a growing business needs when purchasing computer equipment to think first of all about the issue of total cost of ownership, and not immediate needs. Carrying out annual or at least quarterly purchases of computer equipment will significantly reduce the “diversity” and thereby simplify both the tasks of regular maintenance and planning and making changes in the network.

    Also, the above disadvantages include:

    • Non-functional backup software. People usually do not copy important documents in everyday life, because they are so used to it. They can follow this habit when starting a business. Lack of backups is a guarantee of impending troubles. This is not a business-like approach that can lead to problems later on.

    • Misunderstanding of the software. A small business purchases software that is recommended by a partner in a given situation. Often, money is invested completely uselessly – it’s just that someone shamelessly makes sales in B2B and it turns out that the business owner must personally understand what he buys and whether he really needs it. Here is such a deception. By the way, about investing money – crypto tips  will help you save money. Small business owners will certainly need money.

    • Lack of data storage structure on the file server. A file server in a small business is often a kind of “network drive” with a large number of folders in the root and thousands of documents, the purpose of which is no longer remembered and understood by few people.

    • When a company grows up, unpleasant situations can begin on such a file server: someone will select some of the folders and move them somewhere else, someone will overwrite a document that another employee has been working on for a week, or even delete something, as it seems to him unnecessary. Regular backups can correct the situation, but do not increase the trust in the resource. It is not possible to distribute access rights within the existing structure of the file server, since everyone needs all folders. The only way out in this case is to design and launch a new file server, transfer the necessary data from the old one to it, and archive the old one.

    • If you create a centralized storage of documents in your company, then it is best for you to use the following advice: work out its structure and distribution of access rights right away so that employees can enter and change only their data (or the data of their department), so it will be convenient for everyone, moreover, it is safe. The structure of the file server and the distribution of access rights is not a question of trust or mistrust in employees, but primarily a question of structuring data storage, when each employee is sure that his work will not disappear due to someone’s mistake or inattention and knows who is responsible for the mess in a particular folder.

    • Consumer solutions instead of specialized ones. A typical home printer will not be able to cope with the need to print in support of an entire office. Yes, it is cheaper than specialized office equipment, but more expensive in the consequences will cost you the repair, maintenance and problems due to the choice of a mass consumer solution instead of professional tools.

    2 Low qualification of employees

Small business employees are usually carefully selected by the entrepreneur and are usually able to work on a home computer. But almost always, they don’t know how to work properly on business-grade devices, which suffers from the business itself. A professional must go through several years of education and training, because only then he will understand how commercial and industrial software should work with maximum efficiency. If we touch upon the topics of qualifications, then we can say that saving on educational programs and advanced training always leads to a situation when something breaks down, data is lost or the whole system works at once.

    3 Savings on security

Even if the software is used for business purposes only, it is still susceptible to malware. As soon as you connect to the Internet without proper protection and your business, your database and a lot of confidential data are vulnerable to attacks of various sizes, a data leak can occur that you certainly do not like. It is worthwhile to competently approach this issue and take care of a reliable protector of your servers, so as not to regret it in the future.

    Conclusion:

We hope you will use the advice above and arrange your business favorably by correctly adjusting all IT issues. We wish you good luck and success in your endeavor!

  • Tips to Get Kids to Eat Their Vegetables (And Other Healthy Foods)

Though it’s often a trope used in TV shows, getting kids to eat their veggies isn’t always the easiest thing to do. Of course, they’ll tend to want more fruits or junk foods because those foods often taste better. Yet, eating veggies is crucial for their growth. When it comes to getting kids to eat more veggies, there are lots of things to try. Don’t just pick one or two – try as many as possible to encourage healthier eating.

    Choose Healthy Options at School

Help kids make sure they’re picking out a healthy lunch to eat, even if they get lunch at school, instead of packing their lunch. Schools that take advantage of school lunch delivery services often have a variety of healthy options, so there are going to be foods your kid loves and new foods they might want to try. Plus, when all of the kids are eating healthy options, it helps encourage the kids who are picky eaters to try them, too.

    Model Proper Eating

At home, eat healthier options and eat together as a family. When life gets busy, try to eat together at least a few nights a week and cook at home to have healthier options to pick from. When eating out, get a salad for a side or choose a different vegetable, like broccoli or corn, to show kids how important it is to fit in more veggies when they eat. The more you model healthy eating, the more likely it is the kid will pick up on these habits and start eating healthier on their own.

    Try and Try Again

Kids aren’t instantly going to like all new vegetables. While they might try one and find out they have a new favorite, they might also try something new and realize they don’t like it. Often, it takes seven to 10 tries before kids are willing to eat the new food and another seven to 10 before they start to like it. Keep trying and, eventually, they’ll start to enjoy eating more veggies. If they’re not willing to take a bite at first, have them start by licking the vegetable on their plate to see what it tastes like. They may be willing to take a bite after that.

    Get Help With Cooking

Even if you’re a fantastic cook, it might be time to get a little help. Don’t hire a professional chef – let the kids do the cooking. Even the tiniest kids can help cut vegetables with proper safety precautions, and everyone can stir, even if it makes a bit of a mess. Have kids try out kid-friendly recipes for vegetables and they’ll be sure to find a few new favorites.

    Make Them Accessible

Make it as easy as possible for kids to pick out veggies to eat and try to make sweets or junk food harder to access. While a junk food-free household may not be possible, these foods can go higher up on the shelves where they’re out of sight and out of mind. Instead, within easy access to the kids, keep a variety of vegetables that can be eaten raw. When they’re easy to access, and kids get hungry, they’ll likely pick out a vegetable for their snack.

    Try New Colors

Green veggies are crucial for growth, but there are plenty of colorful veggies to try, as well. If the green color is giving your kid a pause, try out other colors like blue, purple, orange, or red. Even carrots come in a variety of colors, not just orange. The new colors and textures might be fun to experiment with during dinner, and kids are more likely to eat a variety of vegetables if they’re available in many different colors.

    Get Them into Other Foods

Nothing will be a quick fix to get kids to eat more veggies, but they do need to start now. When cooking dinner, put the veggies into other foods to get them into the kids. It’s not necessary to tell the kids there are hidden veggies, but while you’re waiting for them to discover veggies they like, this will help get your kids the nutrients they need. Try blending veggies in with the soup, making or buying noodles with veggies, or hiding them in other foods.

Getting kids to eat their veggies doesn’t have to be a huge struggle. In fact, arguing, threats, and force can make the issue worse with time. Instead, try out these tips to help your kids eat healthier and make sure they’re getting plenty of the vegetables they need to help their bodies grow.
