Chaos! Revellers display their very creepy costumes

Last night, when the Halloween weekend began in the United Kingdom, revelers donned a variety of costumes and walked to the streets.

On Friday, partygoers in Leeds donned a vast array of eerie costumes, from cowboys and aliens to big chickens and angels.

As thousands braved the cold to start off the weekend in advance of Halloween on Monday, Newcastle and Nottingham were also crowded with people wearing bizarre costumes.

On Friday night, the streets of Birmingham were filled with inventive and ghoulish costumes as thousands descended dressed as zombies, witches, and even traffic cones and pumpkins.

Yesterday, Portsmouth hosted a plethora of Halloween costume parties and club nights, with thousands of people crammed into one venue for a costume spectacle.

In anticipation of Hallows’ Eve revelers drinking one too many drinks on the first night of the weekend, the police were out in full force around the nation to maintain order.

As the night progressed, situations in a number of cities became increasingly disorderly as revelers participated in the celebrations.

Despite the inclement weather, tens of thousands of Leeds residents attended Halloween events around the city today.
