On Sunday, Elon Musk used his newly acquired position as Twitter CEO to extend a peace offering to Donald Trump, a day after the ex-president rejected Musk’s request to rejoin the site.
Musk, 51, sent the ostensibly sarcastic statement in the style of a series of memes mocking the former president, and focusing on his most recent choice in particular.
Musk, who finalized his $44billion purchase of Twitter after almost a year of discussions and a month’s worth of negotiations, reintroduced Trump to the site less than a day before he re-announced his 2021 presidential campaign.
Musk criticized Trump for declining his offer in a series of social media tweets, implying that the ex-president was acting against his innermost desires.
One such post showed a painting of a devout monk praying as a lady stands provocatively in front of him, with the monk’s name in large letters. The lady, who appears to be attempting to seduce the monk, is paired with a Twitter logo that covers her otherwise bare buttocks.
The monk, who is supposed to represent the seduced former president, continues to pray while deliberately avoiding his would-be seductress.
Another image provided by the South African tycoon depicted a character from the television series Family Guy who seems untidy and lured by a bottle of prescription medications.
In this instance, the figure is again identified with the label ‘Donald Trump,’ while the pills in the foreground are compared to ‘his restored Twitter account.’
Arnold Schwarzenegger, a fellow Republican, was also quick to mock the conservative politician over the weekend, declaring in an interview on Friday that Trump’s political career is done and that the aspirant to the presidency should step aside for more potential party members.

The former California governor told FOX 11’s Elex Michaelson of Trump’s 2024 ambitions, “I think that’s the past.” ‘ I believe that we are excessively focused on the future.
The 75-year-old Terminator actor said, ‘And I believe there are really great candidates in our nation and on the Republican side.’
Trump, the owner of competing social media site Truth Social, and Musk have been embroiled in a nasty war of words for months now, following Trump’s claim from the summer that Musk lied about supporting for him during his doomed 2020 presidential campaign.
Musk, who was supposed to be on excellent terms with Trump during his presidency from 2016 to 2020, has since replied to the charges in his usually sarcastic fashion, posting practically daily satires of the once more aspiring president.
This pattern resumed on Sunday night when Musk unleashed his latest barrage of nonsensical memes aimed at President Trump.

Musk took aim at other adversaries, including CBS News, which announced it will take a break from tweeting from its official account due to’security concerns’ arising from the Tesla executive’s takeover of the firm.
The online assault from Musk, who walked out of a $44 billion plan to acquire the social media site this summer, followed prior online attacks in which the billionaire called Trump a liar and deemed him “too old” to run for president.
The allegations were made in reaction to a June speech by Trump, during which he derided Musk as a liar and ‘Bullock artist.’
Musk, who was thought to be on excellent terms with Trump during his 2016-2020 tenure, has subsequently replied to the charges in his usually flippant fashion, releasing posts that frequently lampooned the re-election candidate.
This attack was precipitated by Trump’s claim a few days earlier that Musk is dishonest and his main commitment is to money, and that the billionaire businessman lied about voting for him during his unsuccessful 2020 presidential campaign.
The charge pertained to a Tweet in which Musk boasted about voting for new Texas Congresswoman Maya Flores. According to the CEO, it was the first time he had ever voted Republican.
Trump disagreed with the support and accused Musk of lying about his political affiliation.
During a time when Musk visited the White House and many high-profile Washington events several times and Trump hailed Musk as ‘one of our great geniuses,’ the pair’s relationship has drastically deteriorated over the past few months, representing a dramatic fall from grace.
In July, Musk revealed that he was leaning toward Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the 2017 presidential election – a pseudo-endorsement that appeared to disparage Trump as his chief electoral competitor.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, a fellow Republican, was also quick to ridicule the politician, who last week announced a second presidential candidacy. In an interview on Friday, Schwarzenegger said the aspirant leader should step aside for other, more promising party members.
At a rally in Las Vegas over the weekend, Trump first addressed his Twitter reinstatement, Elon Musk’s takeover of the platform, and whether or not he expects to post again.
Trump stated via video call-in that he had heard Musk’s survey was receiving a large response, but he does not’see a reason for it (a return to Twitter).

There are several issues at Twitter. You are aware of the situation. It (the firm) may succeed or fail, but the difficulties are enormous and the engagements are poor,’ he added.
You have a large number of bots and false accounts, which I believe should be eliminated. But Truth Social has replaced Twitter for many users, and I don’t see them returning to Twitter,’ he added.
Since being banned from Twitter in January 2021 because to the Capitol breach, the former president has created Truth Social, his own short-form social media network.

Musk stated in May that he intended to rescind Trump’s ban, but ultimately left the choice to platform users.
Trump stated his support for Musk’s acquisition of the platform.
Trump stated of Musk, “I have always liked him.” During my time as president, we got along extremely well, and I got to know him rather well.
He said, “He’s a character, and I tend to appreciate personalities, but he’s also brilliant.”
Trump has not written anything on Twitter as of yet. His final tweet addressed whether he would attend Joe Biden’s inauguration, and his account presently has 83 million followers.

The Babylon Bee, whose account was blocked in March for designating transgender U.S. assistant secretary for health Rachel Levine “Man of the Year,” now has full access to its account.
Alongside the reinstatement of the three accounts, Musk, who touts himself as a defender of free expression, revealed the company’s most recent stance on this topic.
Musk said, “New Twitter policy is freedom of expression, but not freedom of reach.” Negative and hateful tweets will be de-promoted and demonetized to the maximum extent, resulting in no advertising or other revenue for Twitter.
