Returning to the little council, we observe that Rhea is now a member and a new individual serves as the cupbearer. Also seen is one of the Lannisters, however it is impossible to determine if it is Tyland or Jason due to their being twins. Tyland did eventually serve as the master of coins, but this occurred far later in time; nonetheless, they may have altered the timeline.

A small lad knows Rhaenyra by her hair, and news spreads throughout the kingdom.

Now, Otto receives a visit, and we learn about The White Worm. The White Worm was Mysaria’s moniker, along with Misery, whom Daemon ultimately awoke. We don’t know exactly why they broke up, but she’s certainly creating a network in the city. If Otto is this series’ Middle Finger…sorry Little Finger and she is Varys, there could be a lot to this. As Otto is an adversary of Daemon, if he were to perform this task, he would be dismissed, allowing Daemon to climb in rank. If he owes her, she would have access to more authority, but the spreading rumor produces a plethora of problems.
Plan Tea
You’ve heard of Plan B, now hear about Plan Tea, as Rhaenyra is forced to consume some to prevent her from becoming pregnant. Now, the scene with Rhaenyra does contain subtext, and we are already aware that everyone has been pressuring Rhaenyra to have children. However, it must be with the appropriate person, and according to Rhaenyra, males can produce as many brutes as they wish. In order for women not to cause problems, they must have children with the correct men through marriage. Alicent and Rhaenyra encounter each other beside the weir wood tree, where everyone in the kingdom is somewhat disturbed by her departure.

Now Alicent describes the Targaryens, and in Fire and Blood they describe how Uncles frequently married their nieces and Aunts their nephews. The latter would be discussed with Jon and Dany; it’s all about keeping things in the family. Daemon arrives with a hangover, and to make matters worse, Viscerys nearly murders him. Daemon exaggerates the situation to make Viscerys even angrier, and he lies about having slept with her to enrage Viscerys. He desires some disorder and for Viscerys to feel out of control so that he can exert greater influence over him.
Viscerys informs her that she must marry a Valeryon. Rhae agrees, but she wants Otto to go due to his deceit. It resembles the firing scene from The Apprentice, with Viscerys removing the king’s emblem from his hand. Otto served as the hand to three kings during his lifetime, although he was removed from the position on multiple occasions by the others. Viscerys references his father. Vis discusses his ascension. He naturally nominated his daughter and convinced Viscerys to eliminate his brother.
Thoughts Regarding Episode 4 of House of the Dragon
After some Morning After Tea, the episode comes to a close. As for my thoughts on it, I know you guys enjoy it when I evaluate stuff episode by episode, but I thought this was the weakest episode of the season so far, despite having a nice finish. The dagger scene was excellent, and the boardroom shooting added a great deal as well. Even though there was a significant progression between Rhaenyra and Daemon, I didn’t find the street stuff really engaging.

In any other show, this episode would have been fantastic. It’s simply that the previous three were of such a high quality that it’s tough not to see a decline here, despite the fact that the overall quality was still excellent. I adore how the show’s tone has changed, and you can clearly see the pressure of being king affecting Viscerys. Everyone is scheming against him, and despite his best efforts, everything is coming apart.
Alicent has been informed that her children will not be the heirs, and now her father has been fired, so I anticipate that Otto’s dismissal will also give her many problems. The pair carried out this entire scheme in their thirst for power, and they have spent years tolerating the King in order to obtain it. Consequently, this event will not be well received, and I am eager to watch where they take things, especially given that he is increasingly ill each time we see him.
What Could Happen in Episode 5 of House of the Dragon?

Remember her, huh, terrible. It’s been four years since then, so…hmmm…still it’s a bit silly, but this helps to prevent the fallout from her decision to marry the other man. Daemon really kills him to prevent the wedding, and I anticipate that this will be the focus of next week’s episode.
The reason he is able to accomplish this is because Lady Rhea dies after falling from her horse. I’ve always compared this to the opening of Austin Powers 2, where he practically celebrates being single again. Under normal conditions, this would indicate that Daemon was acknowledged as the leader of House Royce, but he was denied this position, prompting him to set his sights on Leana. Now, this wedding is taking place without Viscerys’s permission, causing even more conflict with his brother.
In the book, Daemon departed the kingdom because to their continual bickering and allegations that he was having an affair with his daughter. Can imagine all of this occurring in the next episode, but who knows where they may go? The most of my predictions based on the book have been incorrect, and it’s evident that they’re not strictly adhering to it, so they may end up passing over some events or altering them to fit a particular path.
