A toddler has been airlifted to hospital after a vicious dog bit him on the face.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter responded to reports of ‘significant facial injuries’ at a Gympie region property about 2pm on Sunday.
It is understood the child was at a party on the property and approached the dog.
He was then airlifted to the Queensland Children’s Hospital for further treatment and tests.
Information on the child’s condition is unknown as well as the breed of the dog.
