A woman was allegedly stabbed to death in a Perth hotel.
Yesterday around 9:30 a.m., the woman was allegedly stabbed by a man she knew on the sixth floor of the Quality Hotel Ambassador in Perth.
According to Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Fogell of the Homicide Squad, the victim was discovered unresponsive.
‘Due to a disturbance, police were called to the hotel, and an adult female was located on one of the upper floors.
She appeared to have suffered a traumatic event and was unresponsive.
A man was apprehended.
Senior Sergeant Fogell stated, “A suspect adult male was taken into custody at the scene of the traumatic incident.”
“It [occurred] on one of the upper floors within one of the rooms and then spread to the corridor outside of that room, and yes, there were witnesses.
The circumstances of her injuries suggest that a weapon was used, but it is too early in the investigation to confirm what weapon was used and how she was injured.
Local resident Jeremy Grazziadelli told 9News that he heard sirens following the alleged incident.
As they exited, they had a man on a gurney who was covered in a considerable amount of blood. They were performing CPR, he stated.
Police investigations continue, and they urge anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
Senior Sergeant Fogell stated, “My current information indicates that the male was a guest at this hotel, but I have no information on the female.”
Although we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident, I urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
