Ice-T states that he “really doesn’t have an opinion” on fellow rapper Kanye West’s recent anti-Semitic rants and hateful comments.
This week, 45-year-old Kanye West made a dramatic return to Twitter after being banned for anti-Semitic remarks.
When asked if he had something to say, the 64-year-old responded that he would not comment on West’s behavior.
“I don’t have much of an opinion, and I don’t want to be someone who tries to smear someone. That is not dope,” the “6 ‘n the Mornin’” artist told AllHipHop.
“Right now, people want to say whatever they want. Whatever my opinion, I like to keep it to myself.”
“It’s not gangster to talk about someone in such a manner,” he added.
Ice-T, whose real name is Tracy Marrow, stated that while everyone has the right to free speech, they must accept that there may be repercussions.

“Therefore, when you say something, you must be prepared for its consequences, and it appears that he is,” he continued.
This week, West marked his return to the social media platform with a tweet to his 32.2 million followers that read, “Testing Testing.” Checking to see whether my Twitter account has been unblocked.”
In early October, the account of the controversial rapper, who legally changed his name to Ye, was restricted after he posted about going “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.”
In the past few months, the temporary suspension of the “Yeezus” artist was the least of his concerns. Balenciaga, Vogue, and Adidas, who had a ten-year relationship with him, severed their ties with West.
Last month, Twitter CEO Elon Musk, who purchased the company for $44 billion, stated that the rapper’s account was restored prior to the acquisition and that he was not consulted.
