ISWAP kills 11 farmers in Borno

During an attack in the southern portion of Borno State on Saturday, February 26, members of the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) killed 11 farmers.

The attack took place at Sabon-Gari, a small village in the Damboa Local Government Area, roughly 125 kilometers from Maiduguri, the state capital.

Seven dead were discovered on Saturday, according to a security source, before another four were discovered on Sunday afternoon. According to another story, one of the victims was a woman.

“We (joint security forces) collected a total of 11 dead bodies of farmers, all of whom were shot several times, and they will be buried later in the day according to Islamic rites,” the source said.
