According to a source, the tax returns of former President Donald Trump and his wife Melania reveal they had negative income in four of the six years between 2015 and 2020.
In three of those years, the Trumps had a tax liability of $750 or less, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Following a court struggle that began in 2016, the House Ways and Means Committee voted along party lines Tuesday evening to release the Trumps’ tax returns for the years 2015 through 2020.
In the coming days, after all personal information has been removed, the returns will be made public in their entirety.
The Trumps’ adjusted gross income for the six-year period covered by the returns was negative $53.2 million, and their total federal tax liability was $4.4 million, according to the article.
In August 2015, former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump.
According to the Journal, the Trumps reported positive adjusted gross income in only two of those six years: $24.4 million in 2018 and $4.4 million in 2019.
The Trumps paid almost $1 million in taxes in 2018 and $133,445 in 2019, per a New York Times study.
As the coronavirus pandemic ravaged the nation in 2020, the Trumps recorded a loss of $4.8 million and paid no federal taxes.

The release of the returns is the culmination of a protracted court battle that began in April 2019 and reached the Supreme Court.
The 29-page executive summary of the panel’s report also indicates that the IRS failed to undertake a mandatory audit of the Trumps’ tax returns during that time period, a requirement dating back to 1977 in the wake of the Richard Nixon tax scandal.
When committee chairman Richard Neal (D-Massachusetts) issued a letter to the IRS on April 3, 2019, requesting information about the 2016 returns, the IRS began examining them.
On December 5, 2020, former President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump vacate the White House.
Trump, 76, who declared last month that he will run for president in 2024, has refused to release his tax records, claiming that the IRS is conducting an examination.
In a statement to the Wall Street Journal, a spokesman for the former president described the release of the records as a “extraordinary leak by lame duck Democrats.”
“If this injustice can befall President Trump, it may befall any American without justification,” Steven Cheung told the newspaper, adding that the complete publication of Trump’s tax records will demonstrate his success as a businessman.
The publishing of the returns, according to Democratic committee members, is vital for openness.
Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-Pa.) remarked, “I voted to underline this fundamental principle: No one is above the law, not even the president of the United States.”
However, Republicans expressed concern that it could create a dangerous precedent.
“Over our protests in opposition, Democrats in the Ways and Means Committee have unleashed a dangerous new political weapon that reverses decades of privacy protections,” said Rep. Kevin Brady (R-Texas), the ranking Republican on the panel.
“The period of political targeting and the enemies list of Congress is back, and every American, every American taxpayer, who gets on the wrong side of the majority in Congress is now at risk,” added the Texas legislator.
A Manhattan jury found the Trump Organization guilty of felony tax fraud earlier this month.
Prosecutors alleged that the corporation assisted its senior executives in evading income taxes by giving them with rent, private school tuition, and expensive vehicles.

A 82-year-old aristocrat who was punched in the head by a “bully” hunt saboteur is “delighted” that she has been convicted guilty of assault and fined nearly £1,000

The wealthy landowner Richard de Pelet was left disoriented and bleeding from an open wound after Alexandra Dennis struck him with a video camera during a meeting in the countryside of north Dorset on 18 December 2021.
In a video of the attack, revealed exclusively by MailOnline, Dennis must be prevented from attacking Mr. de Pelet again as she is heard hurling insults at the visibly scared senior, who exclaims in surprise, “you hit me!” Dennis is also heard threatening to kill Mr. de Pelet.
Following a trial at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court, Dennis was found guilty of assault by beating and fined £959, of which £100 would go to Mr. de Pelet as compensation.
On December 18, 2021, wealthy landowner Richard de Pelet (shown outside court) was left disoriented and bleeding from an open wound after Alexandra Dennis struck him with a video camera during a meeting in the north Dorset countryside.
Following a trial at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court, Dennis was found guilty of assault by beating and fined £959, of which £100 would go to Mr. de Pelet as compensation.
The incident left Mr. de Pelet with a hurting head for days, the court heard.
He was the former chairman of the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale hunt for more than four decades, and his annual farmer’s drinks party attracted up to 450 guests to his and his wife Isabel’s vast Inwood House estate.
Over the years, he has entertained many members of British high society and has been photographed rubbing shoulders with former prime minister Boris Johnson.
His wife Isabel is a supporter of the arts, and they are thought to have been close to Sir Richard Sutton, the millionaire who was fatally killed by his wife’s son Thomas Schreiber on their Dorset estate.
Isabel was the godmother of Thomas.
Mr. de Pelet was praised as a “hunt hero” by the countryside bible Horse & Hound in 2017 when he stated, “I enjoy riding, although I no longer jump.
I enjoy the drama, the social aspect, and the parties that accompany it. I’m doing all I can, attempting to be a general or field marshal and taking care of the people so that they will take care of the remainder of the hunt.
‘I owe everything to hunting since my father would not have inherited Inwood if he had not been interested in hunting. He was an excellent trustee who carried on the hunting tradition started by [prior owner] Miss Guest, and I have attempted to do the same.’
The attack on Mr. de Pelet, which occurred almost exactly a year ago, was reportedly one of several confrontations between members of the hunt, which Mr. de Pelet had been supporting on foot, and saboteurs.
In the woods of Holnest, close to Sturminster Newton, both parties had yelled at and pushed one another.
The court heard that Mr. de Pelet arrived on the scene after hearing yelling in the forest.
During the skirmish between the parties, one of the saboteurs’ body cameras was knocked to the ground.
On film, the elderly, attired in beige corduroy pants and a tweed jacket, can be heard asking, “Whose is this?” after picking up the recording device.
The video then shows Dennis whirling around and running at Mr. de Pelet.
Prosecutor Olivia McGonigle told Weymouth Magistrates’ Court, “The video clearly shows her grabbing the camera, and rather than fleeing, she smacks him on the back of the head, forcing him to fall to the ground.”
After the camera was taken away from the elderly gentleman, there was no justification for self-defense.
Dennis, a resident of Sturminster Newton, contested an assault accusation on the grounds that she had acted in self-defense.
Mr. McGonigle stated that Mr. de Pelet did not frighten the defendant, who lashed out in fury.
She stated, “Every huntsman was behind the gate, and only Mr. de Pelet was in the vicinity at the time.”

“The issue is whether the use of force was reasonable or necessary, and according to the Crown, Mr. de Pelet posed no threat to anyone.
‘He was not attempting to take the evidence on the camera; he only wanted to know who owned it.
In the camera clip, he can be heard asking, “Whose is this? Is this yours?”
18 December 2021, wealthy landowner Richard de Pelet (pictured) was left disoriented and bleeding from an open wound after Alexandra Dennis struck him with a video camera during a meeting in the countryside of north Dorset.
Alexandra Dennis pounced at the old man as he sought to get something from the ground behind her, then smacked him with a video camera to the head.
The video depicts the moment Richard de Pelet, age 82, was assaulted by a hunt saboteur convicted of assault by beating.
Miss Dennis was angry, as evidenced by her separation from the defendant on the ground.
Kenneth Sharpe, the defense attorney, asserted that his client and other female saboteurs were abused that day.
He stated, ‘It must have had a profound effect on Miss Dennis to have had guys on horses wielding whips hovering over her earlier that day.
Miss Dennis reacted in less than a second as she turned and saw Mr. de Pelet wrestling with her friend.
She reacted instinctively and did not have time to assess how much force she used in that instant.
Miss Dennis really believed her buddy was in danger and acted accordingly, thus I do not consider her actions were unjustified.
When she observed her companion attempting to seize the camera, Dennis testified in court that she feared the situation was “ready to erupt again.”
She stated, “I feared he was going to whack her with it the next second.”
I believed the remainder of the hunt would run in and attack us once more.
“Everything transpired in an instant, and I didn’t even realize I was holding the camera.”
Justice Dominic Britton, the presiding magistrate who found her guilty, stated that the hostility she displayed after stealing the camera was excessive.
He stated, “Having examined the video footage and listened to the oral testimony, we feel the seizure of the camera was a legitimate use of force given what had already transpired on that day.
“However, she then struck Mr. de Pelet, which was completely disproportionate and uncalled for.” Therefore, we find you guilty of assault.
After the event, Mr. de Pelet expressed his satisfaction with the outcome.
He stated, “The wound on the back of my head was really painful.
“Farmers agree to let us use their land, but then these folks come without permission and harass us.” ‘They never leave when instructed.’
His family stated that it was utterly unacceptable to strike a senior citizen and that this was the best possible outcome.
Polly Portwin, a spokesperson for the Countryside Alliance, stated, “Although they are few in number, hunt saboteurs are habitually confrontational and frequently violent toward many members of the rural community.”
“It cannot be acceptable that these bullies are free to terrorize law-abiding rural citizens with their efforts.”
Exclusive video footage obtained by MailOnline saw Dennis attacking the elderly victim as astonished members of the public attempted to get her away from him.
For the safety of the hunting community and the general public, we urge law enforcement across the countryside to take their action extremely seriously.
Yesterday, a representative for the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale Hunt told MailOnline that the organization is “relieved that justice has been served” on behalf of the victim.
The spokeswoman stated, “This horrifying occurrence underscores the horrific abuse members of our community endure at the hands of hunt saboteurs.”
Although he has physically recovered, the elderly victim remains emotionally scarred by Alexandra Dennis’ aggressive conduct.
The spokesman noted that trail hunting remains a vital social activity for many, particularly older rural residents.
The spokesperson noted, “[Trail hunting] can be one of the few routes of engagement in more remote sections of the countryside.”
‘Regrettably, there are a few individuals who do not get this and go out of their way to intimidate and assault innocent people. We would like to thank the police and the public defender for their assistance in bringing Dennis to justice.
Trail hunting was created in response to the 2004 Hunting Act in an effort to recreate as closely as possible the illegal sport of fox hunting.
According to the guidelines, horseback riders with dogs may legitimately follow smell trails instead of pursuing a live animal.
However, there are no legal implications if hounds pick up the scent of a fox and pursue it as a result of the scent trail.
The League Against Cruel Sports asserts that trail hunting is a cover for illegal hunting, designed to fool authorities and make prosecution of illegal hunters extremely challenging.
The 2004 Hunting Act prohibited fox hunting with hounds, however violations have been reported since then.
Although animals are not actively pursued, wounded, or killed during trail hunting, many animal rights advocates publicly condemn the practice.
The Countryside Alliance, a rural advocacy group, thinks that Sunday’s incident underscores the importance of police taking threats made by hunt saboteur groups’seriously.’
The man slumped to the ground while Dennis could be heard yelling insults at him. The man, disoriented and plainly terrified, adds, “you hit me.”
Polly Portwin, who manages the organization’s Campaign for Hunting, remarked, “Although few in number, hunt saboteurs are habitually confrontational and frequently violent toward many members of the rural community.”
“Hunt workers, who work tirelessly to preserve and defend the wellbeing of the animals in their care, are frequently falsely accused by sabotage organizations, as was reported in Wiltshire over the weekend.
“It cannot be acceptable that these bullies are free to terrorize law-abiding rural citizens with their efforts.”
She said, “We urge police throughout the countryside to take their activities extremely seriously, for the safety of the hunting community as well as the general public.”
After a trial at Weymouth Magistrates Court, Dennis was found guilty and fined £959 for assault by beating. The victim claims that he is still “emotionally wounded” by her “violent conduct.”
The Countryside Alliance, a rural advocacy group, thinks that Sunday’s incident underscores the importance of authorities taking threats made by hunt saboteur groups’seriously’
Ms. Portwin remarked that two weeks previously, police urged another hunt to relocate its operations due to a “hate campaign against local clergy by hunt saboteurs.”
The saboteurs of the hunt had posted information about the group’s Christmas service at St. George’s Church in Clun. In addition, they distributed the email address of Reverend Caroline Harrison and requested that activists contact her to lodge complaints.
Animal rights groups and activists from around the world, including Canada and New Zealand, contacted the hunt.
Ms. Portwin noted that the service still occurred last weekend despite the threats.
Since then, a representative for the United Pack has criticized the protesters, stating, “We had no doubt that our carol service would take place this year.”
‘It is an important element of the holiday calendar for many locals, regardless of whether or not they participate in hunting.
We would never give in to internet bullies’ threats, but we recognize how unpleasant it may be for those who are victimized.
Last weekend’s event, according to the United Pack, was “without a doubt the best supported service” the organization has ever provided.
Officials report that attendance was “above average” and that the group had more newcomers than in prior years, “which just reinforces the power of rural community spirit and the significance of this time of year.”
The spokesperson continued, ‘The sermon was beautifully constructed, and the roughly 100 congregants all agreed that the rural community in the Welsh Marches was much better off as a result of the joyful and heartfelt service.’
In his first journey outside of Ukraine since the Russian invasion in February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is traveling to Washington to meet with Vice President Joe Biden and address Congress.
Due to security concerns, planning for Zelenskyy’s visit was cloaked in secrecy, but U.S. officials confirmed the trip Tuesday night.
“On my way to the United States to boost Ukraine’s resilience and defense capabilities. In particular, President Trump and I will discuss collaboration between the United States and Ukraine “Zelensky tweeted in the early hours of Wednesday morning. In addition to delivering a speech at the Congress, I will have a number of bilateral meetings.
Mr. Biden will welcome Zelenskyy to the White House at 2:00 p.m., and the two will have a press conference together at 4:30 p.m. Zelenskyy will next address a joint session of Congress at 7:30 p.m., according to the office of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
A senior administration official stated that Vice President Biden will announce a new aid package for Ukraine worth “nearly $2 billion” that will include, for the first time, a Patriot missile battery, which the official described as “crucial to defend the Ukrainian people against Russia’s barbaric attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.” The U.S. will teach Ukrainian personnel on how to operate the Patriot missile battery in a third country, according to the official.
Zelenskyy’s visit occurs at a time when Russia has intensified attacks on vital Ukrainian infrastructure as winter approaches, with Russian forces waging one of the greatest assaults on the city of Kyiv since the conflict began last week.
In addition, the Ukrainian president’s address to Congress coincides with U.S. lawmakers’ efforts to enact a $1.7 trillion budget measure that contains over $45 billion in military, humanitarian, and economic support for Ukraine. It would be one of the last pieces of legislation completed by the current Congress, and senators were rushing to pass the omnibus bill before a Friday deadline to prevent a government shutdown.
The almost $45 billion earmarked for Ukraine is greater than the $37.7 billion requested by the White House in November and, if approved by Congress, would be the latest installment of emergency aid granted to Ukraine as it continues to confront Russia.
Since the invasion, lawmakers have approved more than $65 billion in aid to Ukraine, despite opposition from some House Republicans to continued direct support. This new proposal would increase U.S. aid to above $100 billion.

A 51-year-old man who threatened to fuel-bomb the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court will be incarcerated throughout the holiday season.
He was arrested on Thursday and was charged with inciting violence against the Kimberley Court when he appeared in court early this week.
The suspect allegedly sent a threatening message on social media indicating his desire to torch the courthouse. The social media post trended and went viral.
Nomthandazo Mnisi, a spokesman for the Northern Cape Hawks, stated, “It is also alleged that he mailed gasoline-filled containers that will be used to bomb the court.”
The Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation team arrested the suspect with the assistance of Crime Intelligence, who discovered evidence at the suspect’s residence.
The bail application has been postponed until December 29.
The suspect was arrested earlier this year for breaking the windows of the Vryburg Magistrate’s Court. He was released on bail of R500.
“The defendant claimed his acts were motivated by rage after serving three months in jail for failing to appear in court on a separate charge in June 2020,” the NPA said in a statement.

Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia must learn from its mistakes in Ukraine and has pledged to provide the military with all nuclear weapons it requires as he admits his embarrassing war is not proceeding as planned.
In an address to defense commanders in Moscow, Putin stated that he will “enhance the combat preparedness of our nuclear triad” and emphasized the new Zircon hypersonic cruise missile, which will be available to troops in January.
Putin asserted that the missiles, which fly at speeds of about 7,000 mph, are “unparalleled in the world,” despite the fact that his forces had suffered humiliation after humiliation during his failed invasion.
Today, the dictator pledged, “We have no financial limits.” The country and government supply the army with anything it requests.
Vladimir Putin has stated that Russia must learn from its mistakes in Ukraine and has pledged to provide the military with any nuclear weapons it requires (pictured today)
Putin also conceded, not for the first time, that his September order to call up 300,000 reservists had not gone smoothly.
“As everyone is aware, the partial mobilization that was carried out showed certain difficulties that must be solved immediately,” he stated.

As it became clear that military commissariats were enlisting many soldiers who were physically unfit or too elderly, and that new recruits lacked basic equipment such as sleeping bags and winter gear, the call-up garnered harsh condemnation from even Kremlin friends.
Putin also alluded to other unidentified military issues and stated that constructive criticism should be considered.
“I request that the Ministry of Defense be attentive to all civilian initiatives, including taking criticism into account and responding appropriately and promptly,” he stated.
Putin stated that he will “enhance the battle readiness of our nuclear triad” and emphasized the new hypersonic cruise missile Zircon (pictured during tests)
The Zircon will initially be installed aboard Russian frigates (such as the shown Admiral Gorshkov) and, later, on submarines.
‘It is evident that the reaction of individuals who see issues – and there are always problems in such massive, complex endeavor – can be emotional, but we must listen to those who do not hush up the actual problems, but instead strive to contribute to their solution.’
It was the most recent in a series of recent remarks in which Putin recognized, albeit indirectly, the difficulties his force faces.
On Tuesday, he informed security forces that the situation in four regions of Ukraine that Russia claims as its own territory was “very problematic”
Moreover, on December 7, he stated that Russia could remain engaged in Ukraine for an extended period.
Russia occupies a vast expanse of eastern and southern Ukraine along a 685-mile-long front nearly 10 months after its February 24 invasion, but has suffered a series of defeats that have shifted the war’s tide in favor of its smaller rival.
It was the latest in a string of recent comments in which Putin indirectly recognized the issues his troops faces.
Even pro-Kremlin war bloggers have expressed anger and dismay at the performance of Russia’s generals, the chaotic conduct of the mobilisation, and the surrender of territory Russia had captured, most notably last month when Russia withdrew from Kherson, the only provincial capital it had seized since the invasion began.
Putin was given a report by Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu in which he stated that Russia’s forces were deliberately degrading Ukraine’s military capabilities and that the West was attempting to “draw out” the fight.
Shoigu recommended increasing the age range for compulsory military service in Russia from 18 to 27 to 21 to 30. He stated that Russia was rapidly deploying advanced weapons.
On September 21, Russia confirmed officially for the last time that 5,937 servicemen had been killed. This amount is considerably less than most international estimates.
Yesterday, Volodymyr Zelenskiy greeted a Ukrainian soldier at his station in the frontline village of Bakhmut.
The commanding general of the United States estimated on November 9 that more than 100,000 soldiers on each side had been killed or wounded.
Putin has stated that he has no regrets regarding the commencement of his’special military operation,’ stating that Russia had no alternative but to stand up to the arrogant Western nations.
He stated on Wednesday that he still considered Ukrainians to be a ‘brotherly’ people, despite their having been slain in the tens of thousands, forced to flee in the millions, and having entire villages and cities devastated.
Putin stated, “What is occurring is certainly a tragedy, but it is not the outcome of our strategy.”
“On the contrary, the fragmentation of the Russian world is the outcome of the policies of other countries, third countries, which have long sought this end. They succeeded to a degree and pushed us to the point where we are now.’

President Joe Biden wished Volodymyr Zelensky safe travels as he headed to the United States on Wednesday, while Vladimir Putin threatened reprisal in reaction to the United States providing the beleaguered nation with the Patriot missile defense system.

Early in the morning, Zelensky tweeted that he was leaving Ukraine for the first time since the Russian invasion in February. Biden responded with a welcoming message. ‘I hope you’re having a wonderful flight, Volodymyr. I am delighted to have you present. Plenty to discuss.
However, the historic visit was overshadowed by the threat of Russia, whose authorities declared they will deploy more troops to Ukraine and cautioned that the increasing U.S. military help bodes ill for the country.
Wednesday, President Joe Biden wished Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky safe travels as he goes to the United States to meet with him at the White House and address Congress.
Sergei Shoigu, the Russian minister of defense, has recommended expanding the strength of Russian military in the Ukraine from 1.15 million to 1.5 million.
Putin approved, stating, “I concur with your recommendations.”
Putin was speaking to his senior military commanders while Zelensky was his route to the United States, reiterating his conviction that Russia will achieve its aims in Ukraine and stating that the nation’s men are fighting ‘like the heroes’ of the War of 1812, World War I, and World War II.
During Zelensky’s brief, historic visit to the United States, Vice President Biden will announce the delivery of a Patriot missile system to the Ukraine, a defensive system Zelensky has long desired for his country. U.S. forces will instruct Ukrainians on how to utilize the technology in a third country.
Russia’s response was one of aggressiveness.
Dmitri Peskov, the chief spokesman for the Kremlin, stated that the delivery of the new weapon system will exacerbate the conflict and portend bad for Ukraine.
During his time in Washington, Zelensky will visit with Vice President Biden in the Oval Office, hold a press conference with President Trump, and then address a Joint Session of Congress.
Biden personally invited Zelensky to visit, according to a senior administration official on Tuesday evening.
The official stated that the Ukrainian president makes his own decisions regarding his travel based on what he believes will be most beneficial for his people.
The source emphasized that the visit will demonstrate the lasting commitment of the United States to Ukraine.
On December 11, Biden personally invited Zelensky to visit during a phone conversation. Biden hosted Zelensky at the White House in September 2021, almost five months before the Russian invasion.
According to Zelensky’s tweet, the purpose of the trip was to bolster Ukraine’s’resilience and defense capabilities’ and to discuss collaboration between Ukraine and the United States with Vice President Biden.
Polish network TVN24 said that Zelensky entered Poland early Wednesday morning to begin his quest.
Associated Press claimed that station footage appeared to show Zelensky arriving at a train station and being taken to a motorcade.
TVN24 reported that the footage, which was partially pixelated for security reasons, was captured Wednesday morning in Przemysl, a Polish border town where many migrants escaping the fighting have arrived.
The White House collaborated with Ukraine on security plans for Zelensky’s trip and confirmed that they were aware of the danger of Russian action during his absence.
The official White House invitation was issued last Wednesday, and Zelensky accepted it last Friday. The White House then notified Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whose staff subsequently asked Zelensky to address a joint session of Congress.
Unlike other G7 leaders, Biden has not visited the Ukraine during the Russian onslaught. The security procedures prohibit the American president from traveling. Biden did travel to the Polish border region, where he met Ukrainian refugees.
The senior administration official admitted that the upcoming winter will be difficult for the Ukraine, but stated that the United States will support the country.
“We are aware that the conflict will continue in the days ahead.” The winter will be harsh, and we will continue to give crucial aid to the Ukrainian people on a daily basis,’ the official said.
The timing of Zelensky’s visit coincides with the impending passage of a federal budget for the following year that includes $44.9 billion for the Ukraine – the largest sum to date and significantly more than the $37 billion requested by President Joe Biden.
The action ensures that funds will continue to flow to the beleaguered nation for the foreseeable future, despite uncertainty regarding whether Republicans, who will assume control of the House on January 3, would maintain financial support.
President Putin of Russia has pledged vengeance against the United States for providing the Ukraine with the Patriot missile defense system.
Patriot Missile is widely regarded as one of the most effective and competent systems for defending airspace against incoming threats; Zelensky has long coveted it for his nation.
The last time Zelensky visited the United States was in September 2021, when he met with President Biden in the Oval Office approximately five months prior to the Russian invasion.
Some Republicans are hesitant to continue providing Ukraine with military help and sanctions against Russia.
However, the White House has denied that the visit is aimed at arm-twisting Republicans, despite the fact that Congress will vote on the funding legislation later this week.
This is not about communicating with a specific political party. This is about sending a message to Putin and the world that the United States will stand by Ukraine for as long as it takes,’ a senior administration source explained.
Pelosi told reporters on Tuesday that she did not assume the next Republican majority would be less supportive.
She answered, “I don’t know if that’s the case.”
“I feel very strongly about the bipartisan support – that does not always mean unanimous, but it does mean strong”
Zelensky has long desired the Patriot missile defense system, which would assist his troops in fending off Russian attacks that have devastated a significant portion of its infrastructure.
The Patriot Missile System is widely regarded as one of the best and most effective airspace defense systems. Due to its extensive range, it has the potential to intercept Russian missiles far from their intended targets in Ukraine.
However, it is a complex system that requires dozens of people to operate and typically months to train workers to utilize. According to reports, U.S. officials would train Ukrainian service members in Germany.
Given the lengthy training period and the intricate logistics involved in shipping the sensitive equipment, it is uncertain when the missile system will be deployed in Ukraine.
The modern weapons is intended to demonstrate the United States’ commitment to the Ukraine, despite the fact that authorities understand the war is unlikely to end soon.
The administration is expected to announce approximately $800 million in funding through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative and $1 billion in weapons from Pentagon stocks on Wednesday.
In May, Pelosi visited Zelensky in the Ukraine, where he presented her with the Order of Princess Olga.
Tuesday, Zelensky met with military leaders and presented honors to Ukrainian soldiers who have repelled a violent, months-long Russian assault on the city.
In a video published by his office during his visit to Bakhmut, Zelensky is shown receiving a Ukrainian flag and alluding to giving it to U.S. officials.

On Tuesday, the Ukrainian president visited the eastern frontline city of Bakhmut, which has become the epicenter of battle during Russia’s nearly 10-month invasion of Ukraine.
Zelensky met with military leaders and presented honors to Ukrainian servicemen who have repelled a ferocious and protracted Russian assault on the city for months.

In a video produced by his office during his visit to Bakhmut, Zelensky is shown receiving a Ukrainian flag and alluding to presenting it to U.S. leaders.
In the video, he added, “The guys handed over our lovely Ukrainian flag with their signatures for us to pass on.” We are in a difficult predicament. The adversary is expanding its army, while our people are becoming more courageous and require more potent weaponry. We will deliver the message from the lads to Congress and the President of the United States. We appreciate their assistance, but it is insufficient. It is a suggestion, but it is insufficient.

The new year may be economically difficult; investing in gold may be prudent.
Many Americans are in the process of reevaluation as the new year approaches. If you’re one of them, you may be examining your finances, particularly what you’re investing in as a potential recession approaches.
Gold may be a wise investment decision for some this year, and for multiple reasons. Request a free asset protection kit from Goldco to learn more if you are one of the many Americans contemplating this unusual investment possibility.
Reasons to invest in gold in 2023
If you’re considering investing in gold in the new year, here are some potential benefits:
It is an effective hedge against inflation.
Gold and other precious metals have long been seen as an effective hedge against inflation. This is because, despite fluctuations in the dollar, it tends to maintain its value and your purchasing power over time.
As Battle Bank president Frank Trotter argues, “As inflation remains elevated through 2023, now may be a good time to raise gold allocations. Analysts have demonstrated over time that gold is an effective hedge against inflation.”
The Personal Consumer Expenditures (PCE) index tracks the costs of consumer goods and services in the United States. In 2022, the index hovered between 6% and 7%, far above the country’s historical norms. It was also far greater than the Federal Reserve’s target rate of 2%.
According to experts, the economy may not reach this level until 2025, or even later, making gold an even more attractive investment option for the new year.
“Based on recent economic data and the Fed’s stance, it seems improbable that the economy would improve in the near future. The situation is expected to worsen “Richard Gardner, chief executive officer of Modulus Global, a financial technology company, explains.
“The historic government spending in the form of stimulus during the shutdowns, a land war in Eastern Europe, and persisting supply chain concerns surrounding a resurgent Covid-19 make it likely that the economy will not recover in the foreseeable future. All of this bodes favorably for gold, given its past outperformance during inflationary periods.”
You can investigate your gold investing possibilities online or via the table below.
It can diversify your investment portfolio.
When an economy enters a recession, which Goldman Sachs estimates has a 35% likelihood of occurring next year, the stock market also declines. During a recession, real estate assets can also lose value.
During these times, gold can be an effective tool to diversify a portfolio, reduce exposure to riskier assets, and lessen the impact of losses.
“If investors anticipate a possible recession and possibly stagflation, reallocating into gold may be a prudent choice as they lower their exposure to equities and bonds,” adds Trotter.
It’s more liquid
In a recession, liquidity, or the ability to quickly convert assets into cash, is crucial. Then, if you experience economic hardship, you can sell these assets and still pay your bills and other essentials.
Investments that are illiquid include stocks, bonds, real estate, collectibles, and other tangible assets. They are difficult to convert into practical dollars, especially when demand for the things is low (who wants to buy rare art when they can’t pay their bills?)
Gold, on the other hand, is extremely liquid and can be readily swapped for cash, making it a prudent investment during recessions. According to Gardner, “Gold is a helpful asset to a portfolio due to its price stability and high liquidity.”
Positive for some but not others
To be clear, gold is a wise investment for some, but it is not the best choice for all. If enhancing the growth of your money is a priority, for instance, gold is generally not for you. Generally, gold is seen as a low-risk, safe-haven investment that does not generate large profits.
Consult with an investment professional or financial planner if you’re unsure if gold is the appropriate financial move for you, or if you need assistance purchasing gold. They can assist you make the best decision based on your objectives and risk tolerance.

The release of two Americans kidnapped in Afghanistan on Tuesday was described by US officials as a “gesture of goodwill.”
It is reported that the Americans arrived in Qatar on Tuesday to be reunited with their families. It is unclear at this time what steps were made to ensure their return home.
Officials withheld the names of the released convicts out of respect for their privacy.
Ivor Shearer, a filmmaker who was imprisoned in August when in the region where al-Qaeda commander Ayman al-Zawahiri was killed by a U.S. drone, is reportedly one of the Americans sent free, according to CNN sources.
CNN stated that it would not release the name of the second prisoner at the family’s request.
Ned Price, a spokesman for the State Department, stated that the release was not part of a prisoner swap and that no money was exchanged. He noted that it appeared to be a “gesture of goodwill” from the Taliban.
Ned Price, a spokesman for the State Department, stated that the release was not part of a prisoner swap and looked to be a “goodwill gesture.”
Price stated, “We are giving these two American citizens with every proper help.” They will soon be reunited with their loved ones, and we are ecstatic about this development.
Shearer and his Afghan producer Faizullah Faizbakhsh were arrested while filming in Kabul in August of this year, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.
The two were questioned about their reason for being in the area and were required to present their work permits, passports, and identification cards. According to initial accounts, the media workers’ mobile phones were confiscated before they were blindfolded and jailed.
The release of the Americans coincided with the Taliban’s suspension of university education for female students in Afghanistan, the latest assault on women’s rights since the group’s ascent to power a year ago.
The Taliban had stated that girls would be permitted to continue their education at all levels, but later reneged on this promise.
Neda Mohammad Nadeem, the country’s minister for higher education, sent a letter to all public and private universities urging them to restrict university study for women statewide.
“You are all thus notified of the order to cease female education until further notice,” it stated.
Women in Afghanistan are prohibited indefinitely from attending universities.
Hundreds of young women were denied entry to institutions in Afghanistan this morning, hours after the Taliban imposed a ban on their enrollment.
Armed guards prevented students from attending universities on Wednesday, a day after the country’s Taliban rulers banned them in a further violation of human rights.
‘We are doomed. We have lost everything,’ claimed a student who requested anonymity.
Ned Price, a spokesman for the State Department, criticized the decision and told reporters in Washington, ‘The Taliban should anticipate that this decision, which is contrary to the commitments they have repeatedly and openly made to their own people, will have actual consequences for them.’
The release of the Americans occurred barely weeks after the release of American basketball player Brittney Griner from a Russian jail camp in exchange for convicted arms dealer Viktor Bout.
