Parkdean will keep its mascots after Haven replaced Seaside Squad

In a subtle dig at competitor Haven, which provoked outrage by altering its children’s characters to make them “more awakened,” vacation resort Parkdean has sworn to keep its mascots the same.

Last week, Haven decided to change the characters, an action that infuriated parents who were upset that their kids would never see their favourite characters from the original cast again.

Jaz, who was initially described as non-binary by insiders but later revealed to be Bradley’s niece, took over for the well-known Bradley Bear.

Meanwhile, in an effort to appease anxious and overweight people, Greedy the Gorilla was renamed George and Anxious the Elephant was renamed Annie.

In response to the cries, a spokesperson said: “We’ve seen our Seaside Squad are making headlines.”

So, we’d like to introduce you to them right away. Meet Jaz, who has replaced her uncle Bradley on the squad and joins Rory, Annie, George, and the newest member. As we reveal more over the coming weeks, keep an eye out.

Parkdean Resorts declared that it would not alter its Starland Krew in response to the uproar.

Male seagull Sid, female lizard Lizzie, and male aardvark Naarky are all members of the Starland Krew, along with boy and girl rabbits Sparky and Sparkle.

However, indignant parents reacted to the absurd announcement. “Please leave as is, the awakened community can do one,” one person stated.

Another person said, “After viewing this, I’ve simply unliked the page.” Haven, I apologize, but this is absurd. The family and I have travelled and camped with you on numerous occasions over the years.

“Just showed the grandchildren,” a grandpa said, “and to say they are not pleased is the understatement of the year.” Haven makes another error. Are these large firms all controlled by dimwits?

A fourth person chimed in, saying, “Well, having been an owner for 21 years, we will continue calling them the fantastic names they’ve always had. My children and now my grandchildren grew up with them. I don’t think we need any more fashionable names or variants.

Another person made fun of the new “reprobates” in town. You were making a tonne of money with the old ones, they said. Why alter them? Absolute outrage for kids who like the seashore squad, not these scumbags

However, a Parkdean Resorts spokeswoman said that they will not be making any changes. “Our Starland Krew are here to stay,” they said. Friends for life.

Happy parents loved the dig at Haven and were delighted that no alterations were being made.

Just don’t alter the name of Parkdean Resorts like Haven has, one guy pleaded. The administrator said, “We would never.”

One more responded, “Well, Haven’s krew may be changing, but the Starland Krew are going nowhere and are here to stay, thankfully and hopefully.”

Love this, beautifully done, a third person chimed in.

One woman felt that Parkdean’s competitors might have been the target of this. Is this a jab at Haven, she asked?

Another mother said, “Phew. A huge relief. If you had performed a Haven on my son and altered the characters, he would not have been able to cope. His favourite is Sid.
