Monday at approximately 12:40 p.m., the 15-year-old girl approached the 37-year-old mother who was strolling with her two children down a Perth alleyway in Smallman Place, Ashfield.

The teen is shown on surveillance footage forcibly dragging the mother along the concrete pathway by her hair.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested for reportedly attempting to steal her mother’s purse, aged 37.

The terrified mother attempted to grasp onto her overturned stroller while being dragged.

Police subsequently detained the 15-year-old, alleging she attempted to steal the woman’s handbag.

On video of her detention, she can be seen cursing at officers while other home members can be heard crying in the background.

Shortly after the assault, police detained the 15-year-old, alleging she attempted to steal the mother’s purse.

The teen is seen approaching the woman from behind and dragging her down an alleyway by her hair.

The girl has been charged with one count of robbery and is scheduled to appear in court on September 13th.

The police published the CCTV footage of the attack to assist in identifying the girl’s movements.
