A woman has criticised the $283 punishment she got for marginally blocking her neighbor’s driveway, calling it “totally absurd,” but many believe she deserved it.
The lady, who is from Sydney’s inner west, said that after leaving her vehicle on the street a few weeks before, she came back to find that she had been assessed a fine.
She posted a picture of her park online and claimed that the line on her neighbor’s driveway was only “dusted” by a few millimetres.
This is completely stupid and money-grabbing. Am I acting irrationally? In a now-deleted post, she claimed.
“My mind wants to simply pay the money and be done, but I feel like this is a terrible injustice,” you say.
She was promptly corrected by other cars who pointed out that she was clearly blocking her neighbor’s driveway.
In the picture, her car’s tail is seen dangling over the driveway, leaving her neighbour with just a little exit.
One person commented, “The only unfairness would be not paying this fee.”
If a driver is not picking up or dropping off people, they may not park across a driveway in New South Wales.
